Donating Items

Transition Projects welcomes the donation of new and gently-used clothing, hygiene products, linens and household goods.

If you have clothing or goods to donate, please follow these THREE steps:

  • The clothing and goods you donate are used by our clients, so we ask that your clothing and items are clean, from a non-smoking household and ready-to-use by another person. Linens must be free of stains, tears and pet hair.
  • Please check the list below of the ITEMS WE ACCEPT and ITEMS WE DO NOT ACCEPT to ensure we are able to take your donation.
  • Please drop off your tax-deductible donation to: 665 NW Hoyt Street, Portland, OR 97209

Our building is open 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Donations may be dropped off any time. Please ring the front door buzzer to enter. An employee will help you and give you a receipt.

To donate items to the Hansen Shelter at 12240 NE Glisan Street, please take a look at our wishlist here. For items needed at the Willamette Center at 5120 SE Milwaukie Ave, please view the shelter's wishlist here.

Pick-up Service

If you are unable to drop off your donations, we offer a Pick-Up Service available for $35. Please allow 7-10 days for pick-up. For more information or to schedule a pick-up: lauren.holt@tprojects.org or 503.280.4741
