Summer Needs at Transition Projects

When temperatures rise, we work extra hard to make sure our neighbors experiencing homelessness are safe and have a place to keep cool. Community support is essential to this life saving effort.

Here are four ways you can make a difference this summer season:

Volunteer With A Group

Email our volunteer coordinator, Emily Coleman, to schedule a time to bring your corporate, school, or community group in for a volunteer project.

Serve A Winter Meal

Sign up for volunteer orientation and schedule a time to cook and serve a hot meal at one of our shelters.

Host A Donation Drive

Summer is our slowest time for donations. Help restock our needed items by hosting a donation drive at your school, office, or community center.

Volunteer During Severe Weather

Donate adult summer clothing, sunglasses, new sunscreen, new water bottles and snacks, and other gear needed by our Outreach Teams.

Have other ideas for how to get involved? Please contact Emily Coleman, Volunteer Coordinator, at or (503) 488-7745.
