2023 Impact Gala

  • Portland Art Museum 1219 Southwest Park Avenue Portland, OR, 97205 United States (map)

Thank you for joining us for the 2023 IMPACT Gala, on Saturday, April 8, 2023. Our first in-person celebration in three years, showcasing the impact of community support for people experiencing homelessness as they have made their way home for more than five decades. The event connected Transition Projects’ board members, community supporters and leaders, businesses, and corporations – who came together to enjoy this outstanding evening.

With our community’s support, we raised over $460,000.

We welcomed Transition Projects’ new President and CEO Joy M. Jones to her first IMPACT Gala and honored the Standard and Dan McMillan, President and CEO for their employee-giving campaign support over the past five years.

The evening theme – Housed, Now What? – showed the impact of our team's work as they guide and support our vulnerable neighbors who are now in permanent housing and embracing life by regaining stability, health & wellness, employment, and flourishing in their community.

Because everyone deserves a roof over their head!

As we celebrated this important work, we focused on stories of success marking these journeys of transition from homelessness to permanent housing. Supporting the event and honoring the critically important lifesaving and life-changing programs and services provided by Transition Projects truly make a difference in our community.

The event at the Portland Art Museum included a cocktail party, dinner created by Art of Catering, and complimented by Presenting Wine Sponsors Fullerton Wines and GC Wines – with a toast by winemaker Alex Fullerton. An exciting Live Auction offered the best in travel, culinary and regional experiences, with auctioneer Johnna Wells and the sparkling Poison Waters as the evening’s MC. Also featured was exciting entertainment from the dynamic guitar and violin duo of Unknown Lyric hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, and Jimmie Herrod – Pink Martini soloist and a 2021 golden buzzer winner of AGT! Plus, hundreds danced to the curated vibes of DJ K Marie at the after-party.

To top off the evening we met Stephani and heard her inspiring voice describing her successes in moving from homelessness and addiction to getting custody of her children, to permanent housing and her current work and aspirations for her career. She talked about her ability to look at her tomorrows as she moves forward in life.

This was an evening to remember, and we were thrilled to welcome 480 guests in person all making a difference for our most vulnerable neighbors!
