Portland Panto Players Present Sleeping Beauty - A Show to Benefit Transition Projects

  • Cardinal Theater 1750 Southwest Salmon Street Portland, OR, 97205 United States (map)

During a national decline in live theater, one local company has found a way to grow – Portland Panto Players. This year, they will bring their version of Panto, a popular British form of theater that includes a unique combination of singing, dancing, irreverent humor and audience interaction to Downtown Portland.

The Panto Players will perform a funny and warm-hearted original musical version of Sleeping Beauty at the Cardinal Theater at Lincoln High School in January.

Co-founders Jane Clark and Art Kohn want to provide theater that brings people back downtown and helps rebuild our social fabric.

To achieve this vision, Portland Panto Players have teamed up with the Portland Metro Chamber to promote Sleeping Beauty, with a portion of ticket profits going to Transition Projects.

Sleeping Beauty’s 2024 run of nine performances begins on Saturday, January 13 at 1:00 pm.
