Transition Projects serves individuals who have served in the military and their families who are experiencing homelessness or are in imminent danger of homelessness, with the goal of helping them find and keep safe, affordable housing in the Portland metro area.
We offer a variety of supportive services to veterans (including National Guard or Reserves), depending on eligibility including, but not limited to:
- Short-term Residential Programs
- Housing Assistance
- Homelessness Prevention Services
- Access to Legal Assistance
- Income Development
- Benefits Advocacy
- Tenant Education Courses
- Assistance in Accessing VA Services
- Employment Services
Portland Veterans Stand Down
Oregon’s largest – honors and supports Veterans, who are often either experiencing or at-risk of homelessness. Women and men who have served in the military access essential supportive resources and services, employment and connections to local, state and federal support. This community-led partnership combines local nonprofits, government officials, corporations and businesses to welcome more than 400 veterans annually.
