Group Meal All-Stars
Three of the five Nike volunteers who joined us in July of 2023.
Our shelters greatly rely on the generosity of businesses large and small who come in to cook and serve meals for the participants.
One such group to help us out in 2023 was a team of five from Nike. They made their way to our Doreen’s Place shelter and cooked dinner for 70+ people.
On the menu was grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with tomato basil soup, fresh salad, and cookies! Everyone loved the meal, and there was plenty for people to enjoy seconds if they wished.
We can’t thank groups like this one from Nike enough for what they provide to our participants on a regular basis with their meals.
