Give Your Time

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Transition Projects. Founded nearly 50 years ago by volunteers, we continue today to rely on individuals and groups donating their time and services to serve our clients as effectively as possible.

In 2018, over 31,000 service hours were completed by our outstanding volunteers, with over 82,000 volunteer meals served at our shelters. Become a volunteer today and help make a difference!

Transition Projects offers a full range of volunteer opportunities. Our Meal Provider Program is one of our most popular and meaningful volunteer activities. We also offer roles for individuals and groups, including both one-time and ongoing opportunities. Join us today!

How To Volunteer

To begin volunteering, we ask that you attend a one-hour Volunteer Orientation. You will have the opportunity to meet staff, ask questions, take a tour and complete your volunteer application. Orientations take place in the Board Room on the 3rd floor of Transition Projects’ administrative facility located in the Bud Clark Commons building at 665 NW Hoyt Street, Portland OR 97209.
